Help With Ethernet (VT8237R Plus)

I have a VT8237R chipset in my WinXP right now, but my internet is no longer working. I downloaded the driver right off the VIA Arena website and installed it to the instruction, but am having no luck. The Ethernet adaptor is a Via Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adaptor. I've tried many different versions of the driver and have been reinstalling for ages and still my internet does not work. I know my interent is working because when I run off a Slax live-cd my internet runs fine. Please help me!

It would be best if you can list down the make and model of your motherboard, btw does your mobo comes with the driver cd?

Is this the driver that you downloaded: VIA Arena - Display Drivers If you installed a new driver without uninstalling the old one, this will cause conflicts. Sometimes a System Restore can help.

What had happened to make the LAN stop working? Did you do any Windows Updates to device drivers, or did you install SP3? And new programs? Or it just quit working (the Rhine II has a habit of doing just that, in Windows anyways). What does Device Manager show? Any yellow "!" marks? Chris.
