DX10, for now, is not going to give you anything you don't already have, and this comes from a Vista user since the day it was released.

I'll 2nd that, while I like certain features about Vista and have no reason to go back to XP, gaming wise I don't really think you will notice a thing at this time and point. DX10 is still hardly being used, most games to date still are using DX9.

You are absolutely right Zardoc, things have ofcouse changed. x64 support is better than it ever was! However, x64 driver support is still behind x32 driver support. Modern hardware usually has a x64 driver available, but a bit older hardware has some problems. Besides that, I sometimes see major manufacturers who simply don't make x64 drivers!

Also, Windows x64 doesn't support 16bit at all. And although 16bit is hardly used, some 32bit games have a 16bit installer (!).

So in my opinion, 64bit support is getting better and better, but is not yet at the level it should be. But nevertheless, everybody needs 64 bit in a few years anyway when 3,5GB RAM is not sufficient anymore
