Asus A7V600 @ Vista

Hello,
I got a AMD Athlon 2400+ on Asus A7V600 (with KT600), 1GB memory and a brand new ATI HD 2600XT on AGP. I'm trying to install the card on Vista (Ultimate), it installs well but the 3d acceleration suck. I can't watch not even movies. I'm guessing is the AGP Driver. I tryied to install the Hyperion 4in1 for Vista 32 but with no luck.

Can some one help me with a tip?

mitzabzz,

I checked the ASUS website for Vista 4-in-1 drivers, for the A7V600, but no such drivers were listed for download, here:

At the site, I entered the information necessary, in the space provided there, to get the information (Socket A, 472 pins, etc., for your motherboard). I think the ASUS website is the best source for finding such drivers. If no chipset drivers are available for your motherboard, then your motherboard is incompatible with Vista. Perhaps someone else has information that I don't have, but that's all I have to offer.

What, if any, are the errors in the DXdiag programme? What Ati drivers are installed?

There are problems with AGP cards with the latest Catalyst versions. I am running Catalyst 7.8 on an almost identical motherboard (see my sig); make sure to install that version. Get it from here: http://ati.amd.com/support/dri...nprevious-vista32.html .

All the later versions give me low scores in the system classification because of the graphics; scores are either 1.0 or 2.7 (3.0 is my current score).
