VN896 Slow Desktop Performance

I'm facing slow performance to render windows in both XP and Vista. I'm running the lastest drivers on both operating systems.

The system makes 44s on super pi but it is slow to open and render windows.
My 2002 system Athlon XP 2000+ / 256 RAM / Radeon 7000 render the windows faster and smootly (on XP).

Is there anything to solve this, maybe ACPI configuration? Is just frustrating set 64/128/256 for video memory ang get less performance than 6 year old systems.

Config: Clevo M550SE - VIA P4M900 / Core 2 Duo T5300 / 2MB CACHE / 1GB RAM / 120GB / 2GB SWAP

Mate look at my VIA system ,it runs Vista,and yours with a DX 9 video card with 128 /256 ram should do it.Your Vista score would be 3,0.Get a new video card.

The system is a laptop, the graphics can't be upgraded.

UPS,nothing u can do then,buy a new laptop.
