Hello everybody, I just joined this forum to talk about the cold boot vista problem.

I built a computer for my mother with the ECS PT-890T-A and she has the same problem.

mnale, you say you updated the bios, which version ? I'm not sure if I updated the version on the motherboard, but I should have. If you say the problem completely disapeared with the new bios, then I'm stuck.

Ok so I need to ask ECS to send me the BIOS update that they sent to mnale ? If he was here I could ask him directly.

Try checking the ECS website for a BIOS for your motherboard dated after 12th October - it should include that fix.

Any news on ASUS yet?

Hello again. Some news, after few replies from ECS, they updated their site for the BIOS update. I will give you news when I will test it, maybe in 3 weeks because it's at my mom's house.

I've been lurking on this forum for some time. When mnale posted on Oct. 12 that the the BIOS update fixed their ECS PT890T-A PCI-PCI Bridge driver reload issue, the latest BIOS I could find on the ECS website was version 07/04/10. Updating to that version did not work for me. I now see that version 07/08/07 is available from the ECS website. However, when I attempt to download this BIOS, my AVAST antivirus scanner blocks the download because of a "Win32

nLineGames-BIV [Trj]" trojan in the 070807S.ROM file. This problem does not occur with the 07/04/10 BIOS version still posted on their website.

Has anyone else encountered this problem when trying to update their PT890T-A motherboard?
