velocity_for_winxp_v155_vista_v123.zip gives BSODs
I've installed velocity_for_winxp_v155_vista_v123.zip on Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit) yesterday and while connecting with remote desktop to another computer worked fine, once I started copying a file from that computer to a shared directory on the computer I was working at, it always gave a BSOD. I tried it at least five times but I got the same thing each time. Luckily I made a ghost image that same morning before updating the drivers but it seems buggy. It gave an error on get6x64v.sys

Zoke
First is the connection using broadband or is it an internal network. Can you give any more info about the BSOD.

Both, but here it is an error generated from copying a file to another computer on the local network. I restored the image but I can install the drivers again since the same thing will happen and I can post a minidump or whatever else that can be needed to fix this problem.

velocity_for_winxp_v155_vista_v123.zip gives BSODs
The default drivers with Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit are also not very stable. Usually I don't have a problem with them but I can get a BSOD at least hourly when I use Remote Desktop to connect with my Windows XP Prof (32 bit) and start downloading real time from internet to a share on the Vista PC. This way I get BSODs pretty often with the default drivers too. Thus like this:
Internet -> Windows XP Prof 32 bit -> Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
The reason I'm downloading from the internet with the XP PC and placing it on the Vista's hard disk is a lack of disk space on the XP system.
What would be the place to report possibly malfunctioning drivers to get some support?

Zoke, please post your complete System's Spec's. The Velocity drivers are for external SATA drives. If you don't have that, it could be the reason for the blue screens? I would stay with the drivers that Vista has built in. Chris.

No, for the newest drivers for the AV8, go to the Abit Website. Don't depend on VIA for this. Been a while since I had my AV8, but, I don't remember ever using the Velocity drivers. Do the basic drivers from your driver disk work? Chris.

They haven't even updated the page for Vista and I'm using the Vista's default VIA drivers without much problems until I do what I listed in the post above. Still, according to VIA Arena's website the drivers should be compatible and I'm just listing here that the latest driver is extreme unstable.

Are you sure it is only related to the Velocity drivers and not something else like Ram problems or even PSU. Has Vista received all its updates?
What have you set all the settings to in the remote desktop program/
