What device are you using to test with, ie printer, mouse, game controller, etc , etc ,etc, and are they USB 2.0 or USB 1.1?

A mix of a USB 2.0 compatible printer, Flash Drive, ipod, Key Board, and USB 1.1 controller, mouse, IR Module for a creative remote, pretty much any USB device I have.

The drive powers up (IE the LED lights up) and nothing registers in Windows error or device found. So it just does not work, just gets power. When I enter sleep and revert back, any device left plugged in the non functioning ports now work and any new device as well. After a shutdown or a restart, it ends back up in the same problem as before. I would just sleep and revert but I would just prefer not to have to do that every time I power up or restart.

Unfortunately Shuttle discontinued all their motherboards and now only support there current products which are XPCs. While Shuttle Global hosts an archive of drivers and BIOS updates for my board, they are 3 and a half years old, and the Motherboard was pre-flashed with the latest BIOS Version.

We all know the difficulties with drivers for VIA USB, it is early days for Vista, and being early days the drivers are far from mature. I *think* you are going to have to wait this one out.

Update
Hello again, I just want to mention that the problem still exists. Nothing has changed since then, the ports provide power but do not function properly, they do function ONLY after waking my PC from Sleep/Standby and they function properly under Windows XP.
