Default S3G UniChrome Pro IGP Resolution Problem

Hello.

I have an Acer Aspire 1360 with the S3G UniChrome Pro onBoard Chip.
I have installed the latest K8M800-K8N800_220001x_XP Driver. I use the Resolution 1024x768 and i can choose only this and 800x600. But when i change to 800x600 the display crashes. After a view seconds Windows changes back to 1024x768.
The Problem is, there is no higher Resolution and the lower dont work.
Some Games i play starts in lower Resolution after installation, but i cant change ingame because of the not supportet Resolution.
What can i do? Is there a way over the config datas or driver settings?

Please help me

Astra

P.S.: I use WinXP Pro SP3 with all updates and all drivers are updated. And sorry for my english im german...

The LCD display in your laptop probably has a "native resolution" of 1024 x 768, that's why Windows puts it there automatically.

And, a laptop is not really meant for gaming. You would need to upgrade the graphics card, and in a laptop that is not possible.

Have you checked or asked these questions at the Acer Forums? They should have better answers than us, because they know how the BIOS is written for your laptop, and the BIOS is what determines the screen resolutions that are available to you. Chris.
