Default Unichrome Pro graphics on Jetway J7F2WE2G

I have a Jetway J7F2WE2G mainboard which are based on VIA components, CPU, Chipset, graphics etc.

Everything is working well when I have a VGA touchscreen plugged in, and when I enable the screen on the s-video port that also works just fine, but I want to use the S-video port of the PC only and not use the VGA port.

Unfortunatly when I restart the PC it automatically defaults to the VGA port and not the S-Video port. Is there something that I can do or a driver I can use to make it automatically remember the video setup before I shutdown the PC ? IE When the PC restarts, it displays automatically to the s-video port rather than defaulting to only the VGA port ?

I'm using the latest VIA drivers for the onboard graphics also, just as a note. I'm hoping you can help me.

Thanks in advance for your time.

I would look for a setting in BIOS that may change the default output, if the driver doesn't have on or if it doesn't remember the setting on reboot. There are also adapters to go from VGA to S Video, maybe an easier alternative. Chris.

Yeah I had a look in the bios but no such option

Can you post some links to the VGA to S-Video adaptors you mention ? I thought things had to be re-encoded rather than just converted.......

I'd happily use an adaptor if there's one easily available.

I'm amazed that there's no solution for this as surely it's just a software issue since I can re-enable it manually....... just doesn't do it automatically...

Here's a "short" list from Google: VGA to S Video adapter - Google Search here's one I found real quick: Computer Cases and Cables -- VGA TO S-VIDEO OR RCA ADAPTER

When you are trying to boot to the S Video, do you have only that cable plugged in? Or both connectors? The board could be defaulting to VGA because that's the connector it sees first. Chris.

Well it's sorted............

Thanks to all who posted, and sorry for wasting your time !!

I must have had my man goggles on for a while now and just couldn't see the wood for the trees. Found the setting I needed in the bios as you said.

I looked and looked there, but wasn't looking in the right section as it was hidden in a submenu of the power saving menu !!!

Thanks again for all the prompts to keep looking.

Ain't BIOS' just wonderful? High performance boards like my Abit boards have soooooooo many settings I just want to scream. Not sure if anyone knows really what all that stuff is.

Glad you got it figured out, and for Posting back with what got it to work. Helps others in the future with the same issue. Chris.
