Default M10000 TV-out overscan in Server 2003

Hello,

I've got a M10000 mainboard with windows 2003 server on it. It's working perfectly. Previously i had XP running on it, but i have several reasons for switching to 2003.

I could easily adjust the TV-out to overscan under XP, by the extra S3 tabs on the display properties. Under windows server 2003 there seems to be no extra S3 software integrated with the display properties, and thus i cannot adjust it.

I have searched the internet high and low, but couldn't find anything. But i think the drivers are 100% the same, so maybe there's some registry setting to set the TV-out to overscan?

Thanks in advance for any help on this subject!

Mootje

Have you tried XP drivers in your 2003 install?

Hello boyblue,

Well, it is the CLE266 driver and it is downloadable on viaarena under the category Win 2000/Win XP.

However, during installation on windows 2003 it says:
"Installing video driver for windows 2000/XP/2003 family". And it works flawlessly, except i don't have the extra S3 specific options...

Did you try a computer monitor, I know 2003 is a server system so has graphic options/features left out. Sorry I'm not much help.

Yes, i have 1 computer monitor on the VGA port and 1 TV on the TV-out. It both works, but the image on the TV has big black borders around it.

I have it working!!!

The difference is, that while i haven't changed a thing in the bios (referring to panel type; which is still on VGA + TV), server 2003 sees the second monitor as a tft monitor (the one on the LVDS port).
In XP the second monitor was the tv.

In order to see the extra S3 properties, you first have to select the main monitor, and then choose advanced. Then all works the same as in XP. Stupid me must have selected the second monitor a couple of times... shame on me!

Anyway, thanks for your help!
