Default PM800 supports wide monitors?

I just bought a 22" Wide Monitor but my PC which has a PM800 based graphics chip only shows up 1280x1024 as the top resolution. Can't I get the 1680x1050 native resolution of the monitor?

Go to the website for the maker of the board and see if they have a BIOS update that will allow you to have the resolution that you want. The chipset is capable of it, a driver update will not fix this. Chris.

I can't find this information anywhere on the manufacturer site. The motherboard I have is the ASRock 775vm8. Can you help further? Thanks,

You will have to ask Asrock's Tech Support for a custom BIOS. Asrock has done this before for others that have posted here with the same problem. Chris.
