Chris Brown is on a distinguished road
Default Graphics upgrades

I have an ASRock P4VM800 with an Integrated UniChrome Pro 3D Graphics. The slot is a AGP8X/4X.

The card only supports DirectX8 but I need DirectX9 for Vista. I was going to purchase a second card to fit into a PCI slot but my supplier told that it was much easier and cheaper to replace the existing card. However I cannot find a part number for an integrated card that the board supports.

I only need to capability to run Vista and the basic games that come with it. At the moment if you run these games the system grinds to a halt.

Can anybody help me.

What he means is buy an AGP8x card (at least DX9 capable but there ARE DX10 AGP cards) and use it in the AGP slot on your board. It should auto detect the card and use it. If not, you will have to go into the BIOS (read the manual) and disable the onboard graphics.
