You will need to ask Asus for a custom BIOS that will enable the resolution that you want. Chris.

Thanks. What do you mean 'custom'? Their site recommended I download BIOS 0501 and a certain driver. I did both but now have NO idea how to install either and cannot find the directions anywhere on their site... I installed the new driver but am not sure I did so directly since I have not yet installed the BIOS .rom....
Any ideas?

Hi, guys!
I hope you could help me. I recently bought a 19" widescreen LCD monitor with 1440x900 resolution. How can i get Via/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP in 1440x900 ? Can't find drivers for that card.
Tried to click on "BIOS updates" in EVEREST Home Edition, but they want me to pay $29.95 for updates at https://sc.esupport.com/cart/drivera...ticket=40YKWZJ .
EVEREST showed this:
BIOS Type AMI
System BIOS Date08/12/05
Video BIOS Date 02/12/04
BIOS Manufacturer
Company Name American Megatrends Inc.
Product Information BIOS and EFI Firmware
BIOS Upgrades BiosAgentPlus.com - biosagentplus.com -
Problems & Suggestions
Suggestion Are you looking for a BIOS Upgrade? Contact eSupport Today!
Suggestion System BIOS is more than 2 years old. Update it if necessary.
Suggestion Video BIOS is more than 2 years old. Update it if necessary.
What is the exit of this situation?
Motherboard: ASRock P4VM8 with expansion slots: 3 PCI, 1 AGP (supported speeds 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x), 1 AMR. Is it possible to get 1440x900 res. if i would buy a new video card?

As was said before in that Thread, you will have to ask the maker of the board, Asrock, for a custom BIOS that will enable the resolution that you want. A simple BIOS update may not have anything regarding added resolutions in it.
Or, you can buy an add in video card. It will have the resolution that you want. Chris.
