VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP 1440x900 res?

Does anyone know if you can get 1440x900 resolution out of this display adapter? The chip name is UniChrome IGP (KM400, KN400). I just got a widscreen lcd monitor and the optimum resolution is 1440x900, the images are a little stretched at 1280x1024.

Via integrated graphics does not support many custom and non-standard monitor resolutions. If it is not on the list of supported resolutions then, no, it will not work at that setting.
