Hyperion 5.21a Drivers
I was looking through these drivers to see if viamraid.sys has been updated since this is the problem that has been causing so many people that I have talked to, to have BSOD on windows. I went looking in the .inf file i think and found the following.
CatalogFile=viamraid.cat
signature="$CHICAGO$"
Class=SCSIAdapter
ClassGUID={4D36E97B-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Provider=%VIA%
DriverVer=07/10/2008, 5.1.6000.581
Anyone else think it is wrong to release older drivers from July and call them new?
When are we going to get drivers that actually work? I am using 5.17a cause those do not BSOD nearly as much as the newer versions.
Any info on this?
Thanks,
Avien

VIA obviously went back to a more stable driver, rather than fix the newer version. It's cheaper that way, less work, you know. I would not hold my breath for a new miracle. Sad to say, but that's the way things at VIA have been for quite a while. Chris.

Well they are the same drivers as 520a, which everyone and myself seem to be getting BSOD on more often then not.

Which is why I have been recommending that folks use the 5.17's. Chris.

It's a bunch of low life spammers that seem to be targeting the same Thread here, 6 in one day! Man I'm tired of this crap! Chris.
Edit: I just realized you can't see all the Posts I deleted. I just deleted 2 more this afternoon, the same exact crap. Chris.
