Default ip-95 VIA Drivers fail to install, cause BSOD

Hello,
Installer locks up at 76 percent installing sata.
If I terminate and reboot the system will do a BSOD when loading the VIA drivers. Even safe mode will load them and cause a BSOD. The only thing to remedy it is to use the last good settings on boot.

The main issue is when I try to run any 3d benchmark software I get a BSOD 0x19 bad pool header

I have swapped memory, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Used original drivers and updated drivers. Except for the VIA which will not install properly, or once it does install (by termination) it will go bsod.

System specs
ABIT IP-95 rev 1 bios updated to 13(latest)
PQI 512 x 1 ddr 400
MSI Geforce 8600 GT Twin Turbo pci-e

The video card is less than a month old, plays games great. I just cant trace where i am getting the bad pool header from.

I had swapped my hard drive from one system to another as only one board supported pci-e. I uninstalled the old drivers for the previous board and everything else is working great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

If you are not running RAID, you should not need any drivers for the SATA drive.

Is this a new installation of Windows on this board? You need to at least do a "Repair" of an existing Windows install when changing boards. A reinstall of Windows is always best, tho.

Abit recommends the 5.12 Hyperions for this board. Go here;Universal abit USA - Products
for the Abit drivers. Chris.

I am going to try the repair. I believe I already did it once (as I would rather do a repair than a wipe).
Thanks for the tip. Hopefully it will fix the issue.
Thanks!
