Unhappy dllfunction call crashed:ISRT.CalDLLFn

This isn't really a net new post. I first posted the problem under a title
that stated an 0x...error code that prevents me from upgrading to Hyperion 5.15.

Tha above title is the other part of the error code. I hoped that this might twig somebody whereas the other code did not.

Im running an older (I think 5.06) of the VIA drivers with no problems. I've tried to install 5.10, 5.14A and 5.15. Each time I get the same error message. I've exhausted the usual set of suggestions (try SAFE Mode; try a different Admin account; try using INSTALL AS; ensure the REgistry enties are right, etc. to no avail.

It appears to be an INstallShield problem.

I'd appreciate any help:

ASUS A8V-E Deluxe mboard; 939 socket
Athlon 3500+ CPU
up-to-date XP2
2GB RAM
two SATA drives
ATI X600 PRO graphics

Since is working fine on that version, why would u want to update to a lastest version? tbh u won't feel much difference regardless of which version u use.

U wouldn't believe me if i were to tell u that some are still using 4.53 on a pc running xp

Post Why upgrade?

Thanks. I try to keep everything on my PC right up to date. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is often a good idea but when I run into problems and go to a tech support service site they often hit me with "Have you upgraded to the latest drivers, etc" as a first step towards addressing my problem. To avoid that put-off, I keep things current.
