Default A problem with agp

Well, i have get agp acceleration on and cant to play the games. I had installer the last version of ati drivers and set in catalist the agp velocity to 4x (i can't in the bios) and now everything is right, excetp the velocity of agp. Now, i have a question, will i have better performance with acceleration textures on or with agp velocity to 8x? agp velocity is always present or its only have importance when the textures aceleration is on? Anybody know how to turn agp to 8x and play the games?

Thanks for all.

There is no noticeable performance difference between 4x and 8x for older video cards, don t worry, but 8x do create instability on Via chipsets, keep that in mind.

The last Catalyst version for ATI Radeon 9550 is the 7.1 (not 7.10)
the 7.1 version install an specific driver for the Radeon 9550, major versions installs generic driver for 9550 / x1050 series...
