Try exchange the card for another one, or try an nVidia card. What is the wattage of your power supply? Chris.

Bad news. When i turned off fast write i turned it off for always. Now any play run. And direct 3d is all off. Is like i havent any acceleration, and the plays dont run. I have tried to turn on fast write again, and i do it in the bios, but ati catalyst control center turn it off automatically. Would i delete ati catalyst and only leave the card drivers? Why if i desactivate fast write my card is off? I'm so confused :S.

The reason I suggest returning the ATI card and get an nVidia card is that sometimes ATI does not work well with VIA chipset boards. If the other computer you tried the ATI card in was not a VIA chipset board, that is the reason the card worked. Chris.

This is what I would

Remove all Ati software and drivers, reboot, download the driver version 4.43, extact it to a made up folder on the desktop, now manaually install the AGP driver in the device manager, reboot, check the driver version, check DXdiag for problems if all is OK install the latest Ati drivers, reboot and see if there are problems.

Also the Ati drivers use net-framework so make sure that is installed first and updated.

Man are u sure your video card is well inserted and fitted in the agp slot.Maybe u need to reset the mobo bios with the computer disconnected from the outlet ,ofcourse. Before that write on paper all the bios settings u have now to put them back after clearing the cmos.Sometimes some mobo bioses tend to become "funny".A mobo bios update may be required also, but is very dangerous if u have no experience.Try a clean windows install with drivers installed in the right order chipset package drivers(Via 4 in 1 or Hyperion)>onboard sound, lan, etc>VIDEO ATI card drivers>other pci cards.Try Via 4 in 1 4.51,4.55,4.56 or Hyperion 5.08+.Avoid 4.53,causes data corruption.Avoid also the package u installed now.

Well boyblue, we have some progress.

I have desinstalled all drivers from ati, and reboot and install the last agp driver manually. After that, i have installed my ati drivers manually too, without ati catalist control center (i think catalist create conflict). And now, i have a normal vision of all. Anything chashes or get a crazy colour, but, when i run a game, it freeze, and i can't do nothing excetp to close by alt+f4 and return to my destkop. The texture agp acceleration is on in direct x, and everything is right, but i can't play any game. What can we do now??

Thanks again.

For an ATI 9550/9600, use catalyst 6.8 or 6.9, not the last driver witch are optimized for more recent 3D cards.
