Windows x64 Drivers - What is the real story?
I have the RTM version of Windows XP x64 edition and do not see
any real answer regarding the drivers. I have seen some are
included but does this include the RAID driver? I have a RAID 0
config on the Via SATA portion and a single sata driver on the
promise channel. I do not want to use beta drivers but also want to
get the machine going. Does anyone know if they are included on the
Windows release (the raid sata) or when they are going to be
released from Via?

My system is:

Asus A8V first edition board

AMD 3500+

2 Gig Ram

ATI 9800 Pro

Thanks for the help!

The drivers are not present for the RAID setup on the initial install... When is the final going to be released since the final XP has been out now approaching a month.
I need to be able to install XP 64 bit and have raid.
Does anyone know when they are going to be released (currently beta 0.99) or if I am confused about something?

Windows x64 Drivers - What is the real story?
Come on, someone from VIA or somewhere. I shelled out money for
a via based board and a 64 bit chip and I cannot even get an
answer? Give me a break, this is absurd.

When will the 1.0 version of the driver be released? The damned
official launch is monday and there is not so much as a response
here! This is the most pathetic display of customer service I have
ever seen. All I want to know is when to expect to install a LIVE
1.0 driver on a released platform for which the chip was DESIGNED
FOR! (longhorn is not an answer btw - although I know you are
kidding).

ANswer me VIA, or anyone who has a real answer. I cannot believe
that people who paid for the 64 bit chips, paid for these boards
are not just plain pissed about the lack of answers. Please, I am
begging for a straight answer!

Yes, I know 32 bit works, I am using it. I have been using it.
That is not the point really. It should not matter if 32 bit works,
if I had Nvidia I would be running.. If I had another chipset I
would be running. I purchased a 64 bit machine and have now,
a 64 bit OS. All I expect is an answer to when it will (the driver)
be out.

Not that it matters, but the reason I care is for work I am
doing and it would great help for a number of reasons. If the
driver is not available i can handle that as long as I know WHEN?
The OS is out... There has been a driver that has been in beta at
0.99 since last August... When will it be out? That is all I
ask.
