Default About what is harmful in Hyperion 4in1

I have a problem with it. Got the AthlonXP2400+,512MB DDR Ram,
GeForce Fx 5200, Win98SE

When I install Hyperion 4in1 (both older or latest version) all
4 components(VIA ATAPI Vendor Support Driver, AGP VIA Gart Driver,
VIA INF driver, VIA PCI IRQ Miniport Driver), and restart the
system, it get stuck when booting up. I checked this in Windows
Emergency Mode, and found four devices installed called ACPI IRQ
Holder for PCI IRQ steering. When I got rid of them all worked fine
execept that this device is required by the USB 2.0 controller to
work properly, and now I have no USB 2.0. To get rid of the problem
device I removed all hyperion 4in1 drivers except the AGP driver
and it worked (skipping the above USB problem),. So my
question is: What is wrong with Hyperion 4in1, or with my computer
that I can not use the all of Hyperion Drivers ?

KT4AV:

http://www.msi.com.tw/program/...mbd_detail.php?UID=456

You are fighting Two 'battles':
1) a 'modern' motherboard with an antique operating system
2) device drivers for your antique operating system that do not have the capability of resource sharing your modern hardware requires.

You are going to have to 'play' with it to get it running 'properly', maybe having to disable some on board devices, to make your IRQs behave.

Install order:
OS: W98
4in1: 4.35
DirectX
Video driver followed by the rest of your drivers one at a time checking for IRQ conflicts/sharing after each driver install

Well I don't trust in WinXP at all, but what you are talking
about system change may have a sense, but what should it be
WinME?

but what should it be WinME?

From the frying pan and into the fire?

I don't trust in WinXP at all

Don't be 'silly', I have an install here, (on my wife's computer, the lady that can trash a W98 install in about 20 minutes), on an Adaptec RAID card, RAID 0, that has been up and running OVER 2 years, out living 2 crummy MSI motherboards (that died after 6 months) and currently on an ASUS board.
