Default epia pico-itx : hp deskjet 6980 ...

Hi everibody,

When I want install my printer (HP Deskjet 6980), at the end of the installation I have the message :

"processor is not powerful enough. Try install on a faster processor"

I met the problem only under Windows XP.

Under FreeBSD or Ubuntu, I can easily install the driver.

Somebody has ever meet the problem ?

So, what can I do... I am not too happy if I have to Change the printer

Thanks for your help

Pat

Default The solution...

Hi,

I have found the solution.

Do not use the driver provide by HP (Website). Use only the installation CD Rom.

Go to the Start menu and Click Printers and Faxes

In the new window that opens, Select Add a Printer from the menu on the left. If you have set the folders to Classic view, there will be an icon called, Add a Printer , rather than a menu.

This will open the Add Printer wizard. Click Next

Select A port Printer and Click Next

When you are finished, Click Next .
In the Add printer wizard click on Have Disk and select autorun.inf.

That will install the drivers without a lot of things without importance.

Bye

Pat
