Question EPIA-M700-10E Dead?

Hi,

I just recently bought a Via EPIA-M700-10E a Silverstone LC06 chassis (60W) and 2GB Crucial PC5300 ram.

So far I have not been able to start the card. I've tried to start it on it's own with nothing but ram, power supply and power switch connected. No success.

I also tried to start it with hd (sata), cd (IDE) and keyborad-mouse (usb). Nothing happens.

Last try was mounting it in an atx chassis with a normal power supply that i know for sure is working. Connected nothing but ram, psu and power switch. Nothing happens, psu doesn't even start.

When I connect my Bluetooth usb dongle with a blue led I can see that it gets power, like it normally does when it's connected to a computer that is soft powered off.

Is there a trick to get this board to start? Requirements on jumperconfiguration, connected periphials etc?

Checked the jumper-config according to the user manual. (which I had to google for since it wasn't supplied on the cd and doesn't exist on viatech.com.tw) I even jumpered the ps2 connector according to the manual, except for the missing pin (guess jumpering instructions are wrong). Still no success.

Should I return the board or can I try something else before?

/Anders

If there is a Clear CMOS jumper, try it in the different position. Chris.

Got a new card yesterday. Works like a breeze. Time to throw oneself into the world of shaky drivers.

Any chanse to get it to work with linux, dvi-a -> scart and XvMC? :-)
