EPIA8000AG cannot upgrade RAM to 1GB?

Hi all,

I have an VIA EPIA8000AG motherboard running Win 2k.
Just bought 2 sticks of 512MB PC133 ECC (max. RAM supported), but it does NOT work.

Both sticks together---> dark screen, no bip, nothing...

1 stick only---> boots ok
1 stick of 512MB + 256MB ---> boots ok

Any suggestion, so I can upgrade RAM to 1GB???

I would use non-EEC memory for that board. What is the make and model of the memory you bought.

I thought of that but also thought if motherboard did not handle ECC RAM, it would accept none of my 512MB RAM???

My RAM:
Micron, MT18LSDT6472AG-133B2 PC133U-333-542-C2
512MB, SYNCH, 133MHz, CL3, ECC

I guess I have to resell my 2 sticks and get NON ECC.

Will let you know asap.
