Default EPIA NR + LPC-01 serial port problem

Hi,

I bought an EPIA NR board and an optional 4 serial port LPC-01 card. The EPIA NR integrates 2 serial ports and the LPC-01 board is given as to be compatible with the NR board on VIA's website.

However, while the 2 serial ports on the NR board work fine alone,as soon as the LPC-01 board is connected, no serial port works any more.

I tried the LPC-01 board on an EPIA NX board and there it works fine and since the NX board has no integrated serial ports, the LPC-01 card gets a classical I/O mapping (2F8; 2E8; 3F8; 3E8)

On the NR board, the 2F8 and 2E8 addresses are assigned to the internal ports and can not be disabled in the BIOS setup.

I don't know how to change the I/O assignement of the LPC-01 card and I did not find any single documentation page for this card.

If VIA says it's compatible, it should be possible to make these ajustements somewhere...

Any idea ?

Thanks by advance.

Fred.
