Default cannot find proper NIC

hi people
i hope you can help me in this problem please
i have a fujitsu siemens labtop v2035
the problem is that the via lan network driver doesnt setup
it gives me the message cannot find proper nic press ok to close
i tried to download the latest driver from the website but the same problem occured
so please help thanks

To help you we need the OS, is it XP? Is this computer new or did the NIC stop working? Did you download the drivers from here http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/com/support/downloads.html

Does in show up in the device manager and are there errors messages and is the device enabled in the bios.

hello boyblue
thank you very much for your reply
i run windows xp profissonal
the lan was working fine and suddenly without even reinstalling the windows i suddenly found that the windows cannot read the lan and the device maneger shows me a yellow icon and a message of a new hard ware found but the driver refuses to setup and give the message (cannot find proper nic click o.k to exit the program)i tried all the drivers in the via arena and one of them was setuped but the windows still dont recognize it
i never had this kind of proplem every thing was working smoothly and there was no proplem this is the first time to occur
and the bios has no option to enable or disable the lan card

I would download the driver from fujitsu siemens and then install the driver manually in the device manager.

What is the error code in the device manager?

hi boyblue
i tried previously to download the driver from fujitsu and viaarena
i setuped the driver and nothing happened
and then i tried to use the device manager and setup manually but i got the error code 10:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

What happens if you delete the NIC driver in the device manager and reboot, does the same error occur?

Did you try deleting the driver in the device manager and rebooting?
