Via Epia M10000 Nehemiah with LVDS-05 lcd controller, what other screens can I use.

I wish to be educated on the LVDS-05 controller. In the manual for this device they list 5 screens that are confirmed to work. I am wanting to use this controller with a 10.0-10.4" display and would like to know what the criteria is to determine if the screen would work or not.

I have a friend in town that owns a computer shop full of broken laptops with screens and he said I could have one.

What do I need to look for to know weather or not it will work with the LVDS-05 module.

The first thing you need to do is see if you can get a spec sheet on any of the available panels. Once you've got a spec sheet you'll know what signal is on which pin and you can begin to build a cable.
