CN1700 Wake On Lan not working

Hi all,

I originally posted this thread VIA CN700 Wake On Lan here regarding this issue, but it got bumped the linux-arena (with obvious reason). But it seems I definitely have a m/b hardware / BIOS issue.

I'm enabling WOL in the BIOS on my CN700, saving settings, the setting persists in the BIOS between power off/on. However, when I "hibernate" the PC from Ubuntu, there is no light activity on the NIC port to indicate it's "live" and listening - and the IP address drops off my router's active IP table.

Does anyone have WOL working on a CN700 - any tips? Perhaps I need a BIOS update?

My present BIOS boot up details show the following ;

AwardBIOS 6.00PG
V.J7F4B / J7F4K A07 06-20-2007

I'd rather not update if it can be helped, but will if it's known to fix this issue.
