Default boot settings not saving in bios

I am trying to change the boot device priority settings in the epia sn10000 but when choose to save changes and exit, it reverts back to the old boot order?

Default additional note

The very first time I made the settings change to load the OS (ubuntu/xubuntu) it saved the boot order. But now it will not save the boot order no matter what settings I change to. I just bought three of these and so far they are behave this way. Am I just missing something simple here?

I would clear the bios with the power turned off and then try again. Are you using the save and exit menu on the options bios screen as I think there is also a save and exit on the drop down list if it is an award bios.

If it is loosing setting because you have turned the power off at the wall then the bios battery needs replacing.

Default clearing the bios

I tried clearing the BIOS by removing and replacing the battery - still will not save the boot order. Ive tried on two of the three that I have purchased and am getting the same behavior, im going to fire up the third one and see if it does the same.

I would clear the bios with the jumper, if all three are playing up take them back.

it's the room write protection jumper. for the SN series it's on (shorted) by default. It's right by the memory slots. Just remove it and you can then change the priorty
