>Jacek, did you get it working, or was it totally dead?

I get it working.

Now I can test third Epia mII board. What can I say? If you change original BIOS to ver. 1.37 (DVI out support) then it works for a short time and stops doing POST sequence. So in 99% it's a BIOS fault. Give me few days with new mobo to be sure. I've changed PW-200-M to PicoPSU (red, multi voltage) and AC adapter (IBM 16V, 3A).

Since the board has been working for more than a year (my guess, I haven't talked to the previous owner yet so I can't tell exactly), and I don't think he attempted BIOS update, is it really possible the BIOS is the problem?

The original power cord is lost, so I used one from a laptop I have, but since it's only a cord that takes the power from the outlet to the power-"brick", it should be ok to do so. I've also tried with another PSU, so I don't think the PSU is the problem.

I've not yet tried to de-solder capacitors, perhaps next weekend, if I have some spare time then. I have a hard time trying to read the specifications of the capacitors right now, since the board is mounted, is it possible it says 6.3V, 1000μF? At the moment I just need to know so that I can look for something similar.

You've got a bunch of 6.3v, 1000uf, 3 10v, 1000uf and 2 6.3v, 1500uf that are bad from looking at the pictures. The 2 tall ones near the ATX plug are 1500uf and the 3 like the one near the yellow usb header are the 10v.

Thank you Bob!

I have a few things to do in school, but as soon as I can, I'll try to replace the ones near the ATX plug, for a start. I just have to find a soldering iron and tools for taking care of the solder, and find new capacitors.

Was it the same problem as mine? (can you describe as exactly as possible?) How did you get it working, was it by replacing board, or something else?

How is the new board doing?
