Default build a pc

Hi all.I want to build a new system useing the via epia m1000 mobo,I live in the uk and can get this mobo from maplins,I have just one question,do you have to use a specific type of psu,or can you use a generic type 300w psu that comes with most atx cases,I know the whole point of via mobo is to make things smaller, but I am only interested in noise at the moment,I may put the mobo in a custom built case later on,but at the moment I want to put it into a normal atx case(as long as all the holes are in the right place)thanks for the help..

The Mini-ITX boards are ATX standard for mounting holes and also power input.

I would recommend that you look at LinITX for all things mini-ITX, as their prices are better than Maplins and also the support they give is extremely good in my experience.

You can probably put two cards in your atx case. And the 300W power supply would be powerfull enough to power them both!!!

I am looking at putting two cards into a box to make a development server. One card for PostgreSQL server and the other for Apache / Tomcat application server.

Cheers

Tony
