My USB/1304 Card wont work

Hi i am running XP with SP3

i bought this USB and 1394 firewire PCI card



the chip on the card says VT6214L and VT6006

when i install it, my computer dont even recognise there is anything installed on the PCI slot. have i gotten a dud card?

i'm pretty sure XP should be able to detect that its there even before the drivers are installed.


i know the PCI slot works, as i used it for my TV PCI card.

whats going on? have i got a dead card?
