The reason that you see a blue screen error, could be due to a device other than webcam is being used by messenger. You need to change setting so that messenger will recognised the webcam. From messenger, click the tools menu and choose start my webcam. On my webcam uploader window, select file follow by preferences and select webcam category. Press camera source button and select the camera you wish to use and click ok.

Ensure that Usb is enabled in bios and also you make sure you are using the right driver and software for the webcam. Also try slotting into different usb ports. Lastly, could you pls give me your specs so that I could have a better idea and narrow down the problem?

Tell you what, Set ACPI pc to standard pc in device manager and turn on PNP so that window will control irq. Other than "usbhub.sys" is being display, is there any code or words being shown when the blue screen error occurs?

You could set ACPI to standard pc in device manager. PNP stands for plug and play. The code which you give me is not the right one, normally it will display something like "0x00000". Just to reconfirm with you, which driver and software did you installed for your webcam?

First thing is Web cams suck up alot of Power and rescources...I would make sure you have a good power supply, and make sure nothing is running in the background when using the Cam.....

Also make sure you have the VIA USB Filter patch installed...>>>>>USB 1.10 Filter Patch

And also if possible when the cam is connected try to get into the device manager and look at the Hub it is on, make sure the Voltage used is no More than 400mm to 500mm, if so then you need an external USB self powered HUB
