Default Nanobook frequency scaling

After reading a lot of information/news/reviews on the Nanobook, especially the european version "EasyNote XS", I wonder whether the battery life can be extended by frequency scaling?

According to the C7-M-ULV specification (see http://de.viatech.com/de/products/processors/c7-m_ulv/) the 1,2 Ghz model consumes 7W (or 5W) and the 1,0 Ghz model consumes only 3,5W. Wouldn' scaling down the Nanobook to 1,0 Ghz increase the battery life, to, mh, let's say 5 hours?

Any information on this topic?
