I was about to give up and intend to return the hd to the customer tmr as she mention she intend to engage the services of data recovery specialist.
I decided to give it a last shot before throwing in the towel and plug the hd to my external hd enclosure which has a usb connector, with this i plug into my old pc which is running xp and guess what.... wooohooo i was so happy when out of nowhere all her 5 drives (partition) was all detected, it seems xp is able to detect her hd as her is running xp as well.
The very first time when i got her hd i plug it onto the other pc which is running vista but it just wouldn't detect. But it seem wierd to me cos a incident whereby a previous customer of mine was using xp as well but yet was able to get it detected under vista but not this time.
Back to my excitement, once i saw her files and picture stuff and when i was to do a backup, due to my old pc wasn't enough hd space i decided to swap it to vista but once i swap it over the usb port start to get problem whereby it mention the usb wasn't working properly stuff like tat. Next i plug it back again to the old pc, same thing it wouldn't get detected. Next i even try plugging it ontop my laptop, again the usb shows unknown usb device again. So in the end i decided to update it's driver for the unknown usb but it just wouldn't allow me to update nor even roll back it's driver.
I even uninstall it driver but once i power on the usb hd enclosure again it would show as unknown usb device. Argghh seem like my excitement is short live, the hds and partition was there a couple of minutes ago but now is missing, damn it.
I decided to leave the usb hd enclosure plug in with the pc and rebooted, next i went into my computer, bingo....... wooooohoooo the hds and partition are back, at least by having the usb plug into the pc and reboot it get detected. So right now i'm backing up her stuff at this damn hour. By right i should be ZZZZZZZZ
