DeliciuosVinyl is an unknown quantity at this point
Default For DYI

Now that the PC is going into the $7000
Mark for a High End system is it worth it?
I can remember a post I saw right when the
AMD 64 came out this guy was stating his build on the AMD forum .This is when they had the Boast your forum.

His specs read something like:
Amd 64
ATI X850
Custom painted
LCD TV (large screen) Im talking along the Plasma Size not monitor size.

He paid $4600 for it at that time it was custom built. Then 6 months later it was outdated. There were all types of new computer parts out, I think the CPU was beat out by the 64 FX model

The thing that was so great at that time was it was hard to get the cabling right for the LCD to the PC.
It will be interesting to see how 4 video cards are linked together with the AMD over drive software. Or will they even use the Over Drive software?

Engine is on a distinguished road
Default

I recently priced out a system with 2 ATI cards, 4G memory 3 hard drives, gaming board ($200. +), 700 watt PS, Intel Duo core, 2 dvd burners and case. The total came to 2200. USD. Add to that an OS, KB and mouse plus a monitor. That would bring it up to 2600. to 3000. USD.
