Im not sure what is going on TBH, I will clock mine down to 2.4 and run it myself to see what my temps are and get back to you.

Ok, under 100% load on all cores at 2.4GHZ I got 50-50-46-46, At 3GHZ I get 54-54-49-49. So for the 1st 2 cores its a 4c difference, not bad for a 600MHZ increase. Going by this I would say everything looks fine on your end.

Phew, thats a relief. It does seem odd though :S Anyway ..what would you say to me trying 3ghz ? Also am i fine by just increasing FSB when i overclock, or do i need to increase Voltage , overclock RAM or change any other settings ?
What i also wanted to ask you is what can i use for a GPU stability test when i want to overclock it , and what should be my "red line" with regards to temperture , in other words what temperature should i not be exceeding?

You should be fine with just increasing your FSB, I didn't have to add any voltage.
I don't overclock my GPU on a daily basis and wouldn't recommend it. The only time I do is when benchmarking.

Thats the only reason im doing it :P wanna see if i can reach 13.5 k But im gonna leave it anyway it doesnt seem to help much , only thing that makes a big difference is OCing the CPU.

You probably could get 13500, but remember that most of us use Vista and not XP anymore, so you will have a advantage when running 3D Mark 06. Im going to start a new overclocking thread for the new 3D Mark Vantage which is Vista only with DX10, so get ready.

XD i have Vista but i dont use it :P
Ok so i took it to 3Ghz and temps initially looked the same (idle) i then started up prime 95 and about 3 seconds later it froze . Also, does overclocking slow down your download rates , because ive been downloading UT3 and it dropped to 60 Kb/s whilst i was overclocked but not at stock speeds.

Froze?? Not good! Could be that download you had going on. Try it just with core Temp and Prime running and thats all.
