lol sorry . what i sed was the screenshot i posted at the start of this thread shows the temperatures i got when i had overclocked to 2.8Ghz. It shows only a 5C increase from the temperatures i got at stock speeds (2.4 Ghz). Its under 100% load small FFT's aswell. Its puzzling me.

Did you run through all the tests of prime 95 and at least for 30min?? Run it through again at stock and record your highest temps, then run it again at 2.8 and again record your highest temps. Post them back.

yes i did it for an hour at 2.8Ghz . ive started running it again at 2.4Ghz. How many tests are their ?

Im gonna run it at 2.6Ghz firstly if you dont mind, just to be safe (i know it sounds stupid but hey). Am i right in thinknig that i can just up the FSB in BIOS and thats it ? or do i need to do somethign with the volts (i left it at default)

Im now trying 2.8Ghz. but the temps are only looking 2 C higher so far. if this is the case ...could it mean that my temperature sensors arnt functioning correctly or that HWMonitor AND CoreTemps arnt functioning correctly ? possibly a fault in the BIOS?

I ran the Prime95 test for 45 minute and the temps were :

51-50-46-46 ...???
