Keep it at 60 or less under load and you'll be ok, but with your temps what they are now at idle, I wouldn't expect too much.

Once you overclock it, use Prime 95 with all 4 cores stressed, and be sure to go into the options and make sure error checking is checked, that way it will stop Prime on any errors.

Your worst enemy is going to be ambient temps.

Edit: also use Coretemp, and have it running so you can see what your temps are. You can actually do that right now and see what your temps are after running it for 30 minutes.

Definition: the temperature of the surrounding environment; technically, the temperature of the air surrounding a power supply or cooling medium; abbreviated ABMExample: Ambient room temperature ranges from 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ambient=room temps.

The temperature in your room is the same temperature that's entering your case.

Meaning it's also going to be hotter in your case than the ambient room temp.

The hotter the room, the hotter your pc is going to run.

Yar , well it is quite hot in the room atm . I would normally have a window open and so the air would be cold . Also i know this may sound like a stupid question but does having the side panel off on the case make much difference ? or rather having the window off ?

Im also running a stress test now , i select small FFT ?

Yup, small FFT, make sure Error Rounding is checked........I can't remember the exact name of the option, it's one of the three I mentioned..lol.

Taking the side of might help a few degrees, but it's not going to drop it drastically.

That's a good idea since dust appears to be an issue.
