Alrighty, stock is 3541 in High Quality mode( in the driver cp) only ran once, so the score is a bit low, and I'll have to run a few more times. You can view the results under Jomo at futuremark.

One thing that really bugged me, is that none of my oc on the vid card stuck using coolbits, and it even clocked my gpu down 10 mhz from stock. I'm not sure what happend there, if it's a bug in the software or what.

This score will have to last until I get my X2, which will be soon, I had my taxes done yesterday with the rapid refund.

Your top 'o the hill Kilroy, I'm not gonna' start oc'ing the cpu to get better runs, as I hate clearing the cmos on this board and having to redo all my settings afterwards.

Hey Jomo, Ive really noticed that 06 is really geared to dual core CPU's. The X2 absolutly kills any single core CPU, even Intels clocked up to 4GHZ! You put a X2 in that rig you have and watch out, Id say you would be getting 5000 and well beyond what I got!! Im really thinking the days of the single core CPU are numberded.
I compared our scores and the X2 just crushes your 3500 but thats the only diff.........

Definately, dual core cpu's are the way of the future, I'd place money that in the next year we have 3 cores, hell, that's what the xbox 360 has, so it's just a matter of time and pc's will have the same.

As for the Coolbits thing, could it be because your BFG card is O/C'd out of the box? Alternately, you could try
Riva Tuner, that one works with ATI or nVidia cards. Chris.

3dmark06 takes the 2D profile settings when putting together the system specifications. I clock my GPU from 350 to 420MHz, but 3dmark06 reports 350. When I clocked the card back to 350MHz in the 3D profile, my score dropped quite a bit. So my higher clocksettings are used in 3dmark, they just don't show in the results.

Doubt that. This is still a videocard benchmark. CPU impact on the final score is limited to my knowledge.

How would you explain his lower score then when he has a faster video card then me with the major difference being he has a 3500 single core and I have the 4800 dual core.

Alrighty then, just ran 06 again with the X1900XT, everything including the cpu is stock clocks, and I reached 4610. As Kilroy mentioned earlier, I WOULD be over 5K with a dual core, that's a fact. To prove his point, I'd like to know what your cpu score was Kilroy, then we'll subtract that from mine, and add it to my cpu score to see.

My cpu score was 857.

OMG, now I really feel like the belly of an ant. I am going to get my Opti 165 next week, then maybe a 7800
GS AGP. This presuming I want to use the Abit AV8. I still have my Gigabyte K8NF9, PCI-E board, I can throw
the Opit 165 in there and get a 7800GTX for that one. What do you all think? Or should I just sit back and
