Default Crysis: Warhead.

Just bought Crysis Warhead, played through it and enjoyed it. But what i didnt enjoy was the random freezes. Every so often when something "big" happened on screen or if there was a lot of lighting effects going on (i.e. sunset) id get 2 second lockups.

Im using BFG 9800 GTX OCX with drivers 177.83.
Only occurs in "Gamer"(high) settings or above.

Is this an issue with the game or is it caused by lack of RAM/processing power/graphics processing power ?

It's the game, it does the same to me. I have an EVGA GXT260 SSC edition, running the 177.41 drivers (Mass Effect didn't like the Beta PhysX drivers) on the rig #1 in my signature.

And if I let the game set the graphics automatically, I get no "pauses" but the graphics are crap. Bushes and things draw in as you get closer to them, just not right.

Did you have any trouble changing the different modes of the suit, the "4" key doesn't seem to work right. I dunno, maybe it's my keyboard, but it works fine otherwise. Chris.

Yeah i get no pauses when im on mainstream or normal settings , but the graphics are crap and like you said the bushes and other decals just appear as you walk nearer to them.

I don't get any issues when changing modes in the suit apart from the pauses, but they don't always happen when I'm changing suit modes.
