Unhappy GeForce 6200 AGP card freezes PC

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out why my geforce 6200 agp card crashes every time I try to play a 3D game after about 5 mins. I just bought the card and now anytime I try to play Audiosurf or Second Life my pc freezes and I have to reboot it.

After doing some google-ing, it seems like the 'AGP driving value' setting in the BIOS might need to be adjusted. Although I have not found what it should be set to for this particular video card. The setting can be set to any hex value from 00 to ff.

Please help! Thanks in advance!

PC Info:
OS: Windows 2000 Pro (version 5.00.2195 SP4)
CPU: Intel P3 1.1GHz
Memory: 832MB SDRAM
Motherboard: Soyo Model 7VBA133U
VIA Chipset: VT82C694T
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 6200 AGP 256MB DDR
Power Supply: 300 Watts
Video Card Driver Version: 6.14.10.9424
DirectX Version: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Cool geforce 6200 and VIA chipset apparantly fixed

It looks like my video card problems have been fixed by installing the latest VIA AGP drivers. I had already installed the latest nvidia drivers and that did not fix the problem. But after installing the 'VIA Hyperion Pro Driver Package' from Welcome To VIA Arena ... I was able to get through about 5 songs in Audiosurf without any problems. Previously, I had not been able to play through a single song without the game freezing up.

As for the BIOS setting I mentioned, I have just left it set to 'Auto'.

I hope this helps some other people. I was starting to think it would never be fixed after reading all of the messages on various forums about VIA chipset and geforce 6/7 compatibility issues.

Default

I had the same problem when I would run Jack Nicklaus 6 Golf game, It would be fine for a few holes then reboot or drop to the desktop and give me a Microsft error.
Microsft had me download memtest86 to check my memory. That showed a error in one of the tests. I had 128 mb of PC100 SDRAM and 512 mb PC 133 memory. I had to reduce the Front side bus from 266 to 200 and then my memory ran at 100 mgh instead of 133 mgh. I ran the test again after changing my FSB speed and I didn't have any errors in the memory test. Now the game runs great!

ASROCK K7VT2 Motherboard
Athlon 1.4 CPU
XFX 6200 AGP Video Card
640 mb SDRAM
OS Window's XP Home
