Unhappy linux on En150000 - cpu runs only at 790mhz

Hello,

i got one of these boards, but im having some problems with it.

it seems the cpu runs only at 790mhz, even though i've ran some cpu benchmarks to stress the cpu over 1 hour.

cpu info:

Code:
processor : 0
vendor_id : CentaurHauls
cpu family : 6
model : 10
model name : VIA Esther processor 1500MHz
stepping : 9
cpu MHz : 798.079
cache size : 128 KB
fdiv_bug : no
hlt_bug : no
f00f_bug : no
coma_bug : no
fpu : yes
fpu_exception : yes
cpuid level : 1
wp : yes
flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge cmov pat clflush acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 tm up pni est tm2 rng rng_en ace ace_en ace2 ace2_en phe phe_en pmm pmm_en
bogomips : 1597.92

anyone can tell me if there is some option in the bios, which can change this, because I've looked and I havent been able to figure it out.

i've also searched on google, but nothing about this subject .. so i hope there is a solution.

Thanks in advance.

When the machine boots up its shows 8 x 100
and the ram dim its as 400mhz

why is this happening ? and how can I change this so the cpu runs at the promissed 1500mhz ?

Have a look at /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/ and choose your preferred governor (or disable the cpu frequency scaling at all).

Hi,
perhaps to easy, but i think you can change this in bios. I have a jetway-mainboard with a C7 and in bios is an option to do this. Just look around.
