Default Thank you, Effenberg0x0!

Thank you very much, Effenberg0x0, for your effort in creating the petition and for pursuing that VIA acknowledges that we, Linux users, exist and should be considered.

I have traslated your petition to Spanish in my blog so that anyone without good understanding of English can understand what he/she is signing:

Petición para que VIA tome una postura clara respecto a Linux

If you want to post it in the various spanish (or even international) linux boards please do. The only way to make people to know about the petition is to spread the word inside linux communities.
Maybe we should open a new thread to give visibility to the petition also here.

Thank you very much for your efforts guys!
Super Coco, you did an amazing job! I hope others take some time to do what you did.
I am truly impressed! In last than 24 hours since it was created our petition already has more than 80 signatures from users from many countries and is translated into 3 languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish).

We definitely need more help from translators and bloggers, this is the way to go.

Now, I'd like to ask your opinion on something: My experience tells me that soon we will begin to face problems. Threads like this eventually get cut off by companies and moderators at manufacturers forums. Therefore, I don't think this is the safest place for us to keep in touch, as it can suddenly disappear.

We gotta have another "HQ thread" just in case. So, if anything happens to this thread here, we also got one at VIA: Decent Graphics Driver for Linux Petition - Ubuntu Forums which we can use to communicate. Also, it is interesting to keep bumping it, hence the number of ubuntu users is huge and growing. We can keep track of the URL of translations, blogs and forums where the petition is being talked about there.

Effenberg

Yes, we should definitely spread the petition since visibility is the key.

I don't think so... maybe Via has been lacking in it's duties, but I don't think it's necessarily evil.
Still we could always open a new thread, in fact I think we should, since this thread has become a little long.
Please open a new tread about the petition (you should do it since you are the author ;-) )

Ok, i definitely moved to VIA: Decent Graphics Driver for Linux Petition - Ubuntu Forums where i've posted a message with the italian text of the petition... hope it helps!

I noticed that the "petition google positioning" is very good (8th result) using general terms "VIA GRAPHICS DRIVERS FOR LINUX".

So... link link link the petition!
