Video Card Unavailable
I have bought a computer off of a good friend of mine and found it had a serious virus via rogers (internet supplier). I was to to reformat the computer to not risk any danger and reinstalled XP When this happened, The graphics card became unavailable and games i used to play would not play due to the lack of the video card. I am wondering if you know of a way to get it to re-read it or install an update to have the computer to read it. It is not hooked up to the internet anymore as I have moved and have not settled in yet. I found the graphic card data from click start-run type cmd type debug type -d c000:50 And I remeber trying to look it up before it got deleted to ensure it worked before buying the game I am sorry about the rant I just want to make sure you have as much information as I do Any help would be appreciated Andrew Fodchuk andrewfodchuk@shaw.ca
Computer Specs Will be comming shortly if needed
P.S. The make of the computer is unkown to me and it doesn't look to me like a popular model such as HP, Acer, ect.

Do you know if this is onboard video, or is it an added in video card? Easiest way to find out is to look at the back and see where the monitor is hooked up to. You may have to open up the case and look inside to see what the make and model of the card is.
You can also download Everest Home Edition from Majorgeeks.com, you'll need to put it on a CD and run it on the machine in question. That should also give you the info we need to find the video drivers for you. Chris.

You need to install the drivers for the video card to be able to use its full capabilities. There may be other hardware that needs drivers too. Open up device manager and look for any entries with a yellow ! or ? at the end. These are devices with problems. Did your friend give you any Cd's that go with that PC? The motherboard would have originally come with a driver CD. They would be outdated but it should at least get it working until you can download newer drivers from the manufacturers website.
