Generally, no, if you screw up a board flashing the BIOS, it's your problem. If that board has a removeable BIOS chip, he can get a replacement chip from Biosman, I think they deliver to UK. I know there are other sources in the UK for a BIOS chip as well, can't remember the name. Google is your friend!  Chris.
