VIA mainboard diagnostic tools

Am using via chip set vt 8235(MSI Main board). Its get stuck most frequently. I have re-built the xp OS several times, change the hard disk; remove the modem but still the problem is persist. Is there are any VIA diagnostic tools to diagnose the main board.

CPU : 1.5 AMD
Memory: 512MB hynix
MSI main board: VIA vt 8235

There are no diagnostic tools specifically made by VIA. There are several "universal" tools available, Si Soft Sandra is a good one.

If you can provide more specific information we can try and help you as well. When you say your PC "gets stuck most frequently" can you describe this a little better? Does Windows stop responding? Do you have to push the Reset button and restart the PC?

When did this start happening? Just recently or always? It could be a power supply that is going bad, could also be the RAM memory is failing.

Also, when you run the Sandra tool, can you let us know the model of your MSI main board? Chris.

SiSoft Sandra is a system information, reporting, and benchmarking tool. It has little in the way of diagnostic value.

Memtest86 can test your RAM but can't differentiate between errors originating in RAM, the chipset, or CPU, nor the root cause of those errors.

In fact, this is pretty much the same limitation of any software diagnostic. A better way is the old process of elimination by either swapping in components that are known good or testing your components in another system.
