Call of Duty

Yeah, I know it's an oldie, but, with CoD 5 on the horizon, and it's going to be set in WWII Japan (back to CoD's roots) I decided to pick this one up, never played it. Found the CoD Mega Pack (CoD, CoD2 and United Offensive) for $39.95 at Steam. Works for me, no shipping & handeling, downloaded all 3 in a few hours.

Call of Duty is a blast! Game looks so good, all the graphics are top notch, especially the outdoors stuff. Weapons models are very accurate. There are a few tough spots so far (I just made it to Red Square) but nothing major. Really a lot of fun. Nice to be able to go back and play a real jewel like this one. Hopefully I'll finish all 3 before CoD 5 comes out. Chris.

I believe i played them as they came out (CoD2 being my favourite) . I dont understand why they went back to WW2 though , they already have so many games based on WW2, and CoD4: Modern Warfare was the best game of the series and i personally was really looking forward to another Modern warfare game.

i love my cod stuff.. cod and coduo record dark no matter in game settings. and if i up bright in game to far. it white washes the screen out i can barley play..

ya i want to get cod5 when it comes out..fighting the japs [ no offense] will be cool. it looks sweet in screen shots and stuff. i really like ww2 stuff and real war.

i really liked cod and coduo better then mohaa. cod stuff seems more modern and better graphics other then dark..mohaa was nice and bright and made nice videos. cod 4 is great but really short. i was sad about that and it will not run if i have zdsoft game recorder running. gta vc will not work with the recorder either

Cool game. I love the weapons modeling, very accurate. In fact all the detail in this game is historically accurate. Also like that you start out as an American, then play as British, then a Soviet.

Not an easy game, either.

Now it's on to CoD2. I'm a Russian named Vasili. Looks like I have a lot of stuff to blow up! Chris.

glad to see ya bud.. i had remembered chris said a few years ago. he was with this site or via. i never had a need for another tech site.. but rebuilding pc's etc. i run into snags from time to time and might need help.

i know and like chris. im sure he would be a great and fair moderator too so.. and they have a game section and a area you can talk on topics you can not on a few other sites. but i think i will avoid that area and try and keep my self out of trouble ha ha

any way cod2 is the only 1 of the collection i do not have..ive read lots of folks did not like it.. but they say the same about add ons to lots of games so..as with fear.. i see the add ons as more of the game. just more maps maybe a lil different game play but more of the same and fun..so i guess someday i need to buy cod2 and then cod5.. well i might get 5 first hee hee. any way

Playing CoD2 now, made it thru playing as Vasili, the Russian. Had to blow up tanks, fix telephone lines, etc. etc. etc.

Then on to the desert as a British soldier fighting against Rommel. That went pretty quick. Tanks, I love tanks. Gimme a tank and if I can't shoot you I'll run you over! LOL.

Now playing as an American in France, I think. Not sure but there's a lot of Germans around. I just keep shooting them and blowing stuff up. Stuck in a farmhouse, trying to protect by buddies as they retreat but getting owned by the Germans. I'll figure it out.

Nice thing about these games is how sweet they look, even tho they are older games. With any newer video card, you can crank up all the settings and plays smooth as silk.

I think I can see why some folks may not have liked this expansion, your teammates say the same stuff over and over and over and over and over and over........ gets a little annoying at times. But it's still a great game. Chris.
