Frontlines: Fuel of War
Anyone played this yet? This is an awesome good and fun game.
Frontlines
In the SP game, you and your AI team mates have to capture objectives from the Enemy. All sorts of cool vehicles, weapons, a destructable environment, graphics are way cool. There are even drones: a helicopter drone, an assault drone and a mortar drone. These are remote controlled by you, and you will need them at certain spots in the game. Runs very smooth on my main rig with all the sliders turned up.
On the MP side, if you like the Battlefeild series you will like this one too. Large maps with the same vehicles and weapons, up to 64 players per server. No issues at all with connecting to a server, runs very smooth.
Wish there was a PC Demo I could link you to, but there's only one for X Box 360. Chris.

IMO it sucks for right now, crawling textures, massive spawn point camping, being able to snipe from the the other side of the map, terrible UI for multi-player, no cheating software like punkbuster, no AA making it look like crap, just to name a few items. Maybe after a few patches it will be better but right now BF2142 is far better and it was released about 2 years ago.

LOL. All the common issues for any PM game, then. Just like ETQW has gotten to be. Punk Buster doesn't work worth a crap. I tried the MP of FFOW, but since I'm not really into BF style MP's, I gave it a pass.
The SP part of the game, tho, it really fun. Completely different from MP. Kind of like the difference between the SP and MP of CoD4.
CoD4 MP has become so badly cheated it's not even worth playing. Kind of like how Unreal Tournament 2004 became. Chris.

ET:QW is much better than the mutliplayer of FFOW, QW looks/plays nice, while FFOW IMHO, is a pos with consolitis.
It has potential, but I think you'd need a few gigs worth of patches to get it there.

With the new 174.74 drivers you can now force AA with this game, makes it a lot better without the jaggies.

I really don't like the MP side of this game very much, but I have played the SP side of the game about 5 times over. This is just a really fun game to play! There's a big Thread about it over at the Abit Forums, lots of screen shots and a few movies as well (FRAPS is a pretty cool little program!) Frontlines: Fuel of War - Universal abit USA Forums
There are 2 secret levels you can unlock once you play the game all the way thru, one is called "streets" the other is "village". Both are Challenge level stuff, way cool!
My only real beef about this game is, like all other new/ good games seem to be, it's too short. I guess every game can't be as long as Half Life 2, eh? Chris.
