Half Life 2 Orange Box
Man, seems like the games have been rolling out pretty close lately, I'm sure due to Holidays coming up!
This is another one I've been waiting for, saw some screenshots recently, looks to be on par if not slightly better than EP1. The Orange Box bundle gets you 4 games ( IIRC ) including HL2 EP2. I already pre paid for mine thru Steam. Going to pre load it soon. As always, I'll let you know how it plays! Chris.

Half Life 2 Orange Box
Personally I think its a ripoff, and a lot of others in the Steam forums agree. Why do we have to pay for games that we already own and paid for??

I totally agree. The orange box is a complete rip-off. I already own HL2 and HL2 episode 1, I want to buy Episode 2 with Portal and Team Fortress, not with a second copy of HL2 and ep1. I thought the idea of episodes was that you could buy them seperately. I don't plan on buying from steam because I don't want to use my creditcard. But they should make a release similar to episode 1, otherwise I'm not going to buy it.

I got it because I love Team Fortress and it looks like Portal will be pretty cool. FYI Team Fortress 2 is tons of fun.

Half Life 2 Orange Box
One thing about buying the game thru Steam is I can install it on several different PC's. So I don't have to buy multiple copies.
Team Fortress looks pretty cool and I saw a trailer for Portal, looks interesting as well.
I have no worries with using my credit card thru Steam, they don't share info with anyone and it's all done thru secure connections. I've purchased several games thru Steam and never had any spam or marketing crap as a result.
I would agree, if you only want Episode 2 they should make it available as a single release if you don't want the extra stuff. Chris.

So far EP2 is great! Yeah, more of the same but much better and it's hard! I love the Dodge Charger! w00t!
Portal is a trip. Starts out easy but it really turns into a brain bender! Lots of fun!
Haven't tried TF2 yet, looks cool, but when I go online, it's for ETQW. Chris.

Half Life 2 Orange Box
I just purchased the orange box cause I didnt have any of the games in it. I had played HL2 and CS:S on someone else's account.
Unfortunately I thought CS:S was part of the orange box only to find out that its not... cause I'll have to purchase that as well eventually.
